Nyborg is the meeting point of Denmark. A vibrant city buzzing with spirited volunteers and associations en masse. Located centrally in Denmark, it’s historically been where the west and east of Denmark meet.
Nyborg Castle is located in the heart of the city. In medieval times, it was the king’s residence. Today, Nyborg Castle is a museum with beautiful ramparts and moats, encompassing the centre of the old town.
Guests and tourists meet in Nyborg during the summer to watch the Nyborg Voldspil; Denmark's oldest open air theatre, or to go to Danehof; a medieval market where guests from all over Europe participate. As the year draws to a close, the traditional Christmas market makes up the town centre, inviting guests from far and wide.
